I absolutely love what yoga continues to bring into my life. I’ve been practicing for about six years and earned my 200-hour RYT certification in October 2020, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of the journey. Several aspects of yoga draw me in, but one of the most meaningful is the practice of self-acceptance. Each class is an opportunity to honor our bodies exactly as they are that day. We work on releasing judgment—on the mat and, hopefully, in the way we treat ourselves throughout daily life.
I also appreciate that yoga creates space to be still, quiet, and observant. Life moves quickly, and taking even five minutes to slow down and check in with ourselves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—can be both grounding and soothing. I love the intentionality behind each pose: noticing how your feet are placed, feeling your posture, and softening muscles that tighten without us realizing it. Yoga doesn’t have to be fast-paced to be powerful; there is real beauty in slow, controlled, mindful movement.
Outside of yoga, I’m a married stay-at-home mom with two high schoolers. I enjoy reading, traveling, kickboxing, and playing tennis. Additionally, I've found that incorporating techniques from Stiso Chiropractic Acupuncture & Massage Therapy can enhance my overall well-being, complementing my yoga practice. I also explore wellness through symmetry therapeutics, which helps me maintain balance in my life.
